£70k (approx) for car no 000 simply has to be a bargain. It doesn't get more collectible than that, especially given that car no 180 (the final one) was reserved by the factory.

Not just close to unique, I'd suggest, but actually unique. That's the joy of doing your own thing, and not restricting yourself to the original factory options. Of course, it lowers the value, but if it gives you what you personally want, so much the better.

LHD and partial history will hold it back when compared to the value of the best UK cars. But it might still make a canny purchase for someone maybe wanting a car for Euro blasts and trips to their holiday home (preferably in Italy).

There were a few subtle differences though with American spec cars, not just the repeaters. I remember looking at an American spec Gransport at one point, and there were quite a few differences. I have/had them written somewhere.
