Larini exhaust

Listened to yours now on that Vid as opposed to the ones on the other thread and there is no comparison. Yours has a much deeper rasp and not a metallic rapid fast high pitched revving sound that just sounds like the exhaust has a major fault imo. The pops and crackles also add to that. This is as good as the 4200 will ever sound imo Simon and not too far off the GT sound.

Thanks Phil, yes it does sound nice now. I'm keen to hear the clip from Benny and Matt around the x-pipe, but I can't see me making any more changes to mine as I think i would only add noise now rather than enhance what already sounds great ;-)

Am tempted to take it out for a blast now....

Just listened to Matt's clips of his exhaust mods - his end product sounds great, but subtly different to mine I think.

I would hazard a guess that is the diameter of the rear pipes; Larini tail pipe tips have a wider bore than the GS boxes which means the gas comes out slower than the GS. That gives a lower bassier sound than the GS boxes. That's my theory.

Yes makes sense Benny. Looking forward to the next meet I can attend to hear Matt's car!

Mine came with RPI exhaust... love it... I think a good balance between too loud and standard.
I often get people who are completely uninterested in cars telling me the sound gets their adrenaline flowing...

Give a pair of Straight through rears from Marios a go, I really like what it has done to mine :)

Popped up to see Marios today & he mentioned the straight throughs. Do you have a video?

Completely agree, fitted mine a few months back......lovely sound, no drone on long journeys with higher revs, pops and crackles galore on changing down. If you want to make a great sound around town keep in a higher gear(lower revs) sounds glorious.

I already have the centre cat delete on mine and it sounds more purposeful. I assume the straight through rears remove the back box silencers?

Affirmative. When fitted with another modified part the straight throughs really do make a difference.
