Tony, I live opposite North Street Garage in Romford, he is a gearbox specialist and former 3200 owner, he will let me have use of one of the four posters for as long as I need it and that includes all the transmission jacks etc I'd need. I've taken a lot of advice from people who have experience with these beasties including talking to the Maserati mechanic at DL's this week when I collected Matt's engine and there is nothing to frightening about them. Apparently the scary bit is the fragile but ludicrously heavy torque tube. I've got a long list of jobs to do so I may just take a week off and knuckle down to it, I cannot see the clutch being more than 8-10 hours for a first timer.

Guidance is to change all bolts in there, all bearings and possibly the flywheel depending upon what you find, the thrust bearing apparently has a magnet retained by a tiny roll pin that needs to go back in the same way around or it screws the system and there is a 3 man job in bleeding the clutch!
