I have to say that I also thought these guys were c**ks and this doesn't change my point of view one bit. I might have chortled at the show when I was a teenager but it's not for me now. Just me of course and I know many people enjoy the show and that's fine, but we can't all be alike now can we?

I'm looking forward to the show, but dreading watching them ruin their Maseratis. Which, let's be honest, they will, and as highlighted previously, at least one meets a sticky (or is that wet?) end. The red one looks really nice too.

I don't think I can watch. Especially if the red one gets (even more) trashed than it is in the trailer.

And the red one crashes (well gently nudges) into the camera car on the Honfleur Bridge due to brake failure.

I'm looking forward to it too. I desperately need a house with a garden/yard/drive/garage so that I can try and pick up a Bi-Turbo. I know it'll be a money pit but I've always liked them.

I liked them too!

Really? They hate Maserati and take every opportunity to slag them off........this episode will be no more than "buy three really cheap bi turbos, show how they breakdown a lot, get some laughs"
I will watch it, but not looking forward to more of the perpetuating the bar talk re masers.........

thats exactly what it is..

Not doing the residuals much good then! First he scraps one 10+ years ago on TG and now they scrap three of them, at least have some respect for them, I'd hate to look at an equivalent british offering from back in the day like a Maestro or Montego etc....

I wonder just how much of petrolheads the 3 are.
I could "get it" to an extent if it was a Lada or a Morris Marina etc but whatever you think about Biturbos they ARE Maseratis not some 3rd world offering.
They should be more desirable than likes of comparable Alfas and I don't imagine they would be scrapping GT Juniors or Spiders. Maybe they would.
I just don't find it funny wrecking a genuine classic car for the sake of entertainment.

I really enjoyed it but it also made me wince. Ultimately only one of the three broke down and still made a flipping valiant effort. I noted at the end that JC said "even 9 months after 2 trained Maserati mechanics didn't know why it had broken down" so I wonder if it is off the grid or is hopefully being brought back to life. Shame about the Spyder, that was cringe-worthy. But the 430 was an absolute trooper, didn't miss a beat and may very well still be on the road or at least in more sympathetic hands!

I did note that all three of them when sitting around a table at a hotel they were staying at clearly said how much they loved their Maseratis, even though they hadn't expected to. They were almost dewy eyed at that point!

Apart from the Spyder I thought it was pretty good. It did get me looking for a Bi Turbo and cursing the lack of a garage. It has been given the seal of approval as a suitable project when we have the space though.

Agreed.
Watched it now. What was the point? All the stunts have been done to death before and May bumbling along was the only bit that resonated with me. Waste of a fairly nice Spyder.

I thought it was a good episode .what with the new Fiat 124.. The Maser indifference was fairly correct too with the late 80's Bi Turbo stuff!
