Hope the house starts to warm up Mike, I had one of those spells of bad luck and it seemed to take an age to get heat back in to the building..!!

Thanks not too bad, fortunately we have an AGA that does most of the heating in the winter months, the central heating more of a top up when it gets very cold.
Being a combi, lack of hot water has been the biggest pain, fortunately one of the showers is an electric one!

Having a new combi boiler fitted tomorrow in the garage, to replace the one that blowed up just before new year.
While they are doing all the pipework i'm going to ask for them to put a tee and valve in the hot water delivery pipe, so i can run a hot water tap in the garage.
Makes sense to me, will save running to the kitchen to fill a bucket of hot water for washing a car.
Seems so simple, but so uncommon!...or is it?
Makes sense to me Mike.
We are currently doing the plumbing for our extension and whilst they are doing it I have had them run both hot and cold water to the garage with a sink/trough.
