That looks great, Dave, but I guess that the need to de-ice a frozen windscreen is less common there...

My other guess is that if I started fitting hot taps and hand-driers outside Mrs. N would assume I was moving out by stealth.

I just use Gin on my frozen windscreen to melt the ice , and then lick it clean again .
Get the day of to a good start . I have had alot of crashes though , but i doubt they are related ;P

Saves some time that's for sure. On the QQ it can melt a completely frozen screen in under 90 seconds.

RR has heated screen it even has a function that you can set it to come on a preset time so it is clear and warm before you even get to it. Probably kills the battery though

Good luck, hang tough.
Bought my QP as a "divorce present"

I too would love a butler sink in the garage, multi-purpose and looks good. (maybe a hammock or wall mounted fold out bed too :D )

Might have to look at a QQ for a second motor until I get fully sorted with this divorce..!!

I have a few old Belfasts in various conditions, I will have to drag one out and get it fixed up..!! That heater in the cold pipe sounds like an idea..??

I am hanging tough mate, doing stuff first now instead of waiting for it to happen..!!

This is the one my mate installed at his unit, obviously on the 3-phase power it would be quicker at dispensing hotter water but for filling up a bucket etc it'll be fine. He rates it. Best to avoid running hot water through a jetwash really as it can affect the rubber seals but for filling buckets with hot water this would do just fine.

Hmm, it's quite slow at producing a quantity, but it does not have to be red hot I suppose..?? I have a diesel powered pressure cleaner if I need it, but with care as it can strip paint..!!

I now have hot water in the garage, and more importantly hot water/central heating in the house after 1 month without!

Well done Mike...

Many years ago I Gerry-rigged an old shower unit in my farther-in-law's garage off the hose supply so you could dial in the temperature you wanted; you couldn't do it now as it was just a bit of 6mm off the old Wylex board by the front door, 25 amp fuse and strung along the garden fence to the garage!

Great for filling the car wash bucket but equally good for muddy dogs and children!

Hope the house starts to warm up Mike, I had one of those spells of bad luck and it seemed to take an age to get heat back in to the building..!!
