With the car fully resprayed, 4 Michelin pilot super sports put on and the interior fully restored it is time for the GS to sleep over the winter ready to be unleashed next year.

Have left car in gear, handbrake off and battery disconnected. I put some cardboard along the wall to rest the door on when opening and closing.I have also covered it in some sheets to keep the dust off whilst allowing it to breathe.

Important to note, prior to garaging it i washed, clay bar, polished and waxed!

Have i missed anything? Hope to have it back on the road March/April time.....

Really in neutral? The book says leave it in gear? I have actually SORN'd the car as the road tax was due so will renew it all in the new year. I will probably be posting then to make sure i get her going again the right way! Pre charge battery etc....

Dem Maser, i am often in Southgate, Enfield area. I'm sure i have seen your AC around once or twice! :)

If I was parking up for a few days in gear yes.
Long term in storage on the flat why ?
Just imagine she won't go into N when you want her out.
Dragging her out on a rope to sort will not be without stress to your pride and joy.
Only my opinion.

I'd bump the tyres up to 3.0 bar so they don't go out of shape, they tend to do that in collections...

Stored in Neutral, handbrake on, under a cover and using the M /ctek battery maintainer.

I agree with a lot of stuff here save for maybe one suggestion. I always frame jack my car so the suspension hangs. I don't leave it sitting that long on the tires so they don't develop any issues. Since I'm already doing the clutch work I already have it sitting off the ground for the winter. Additionally, I'm sure you didn't mention it but I always go and and start the car and let her run through a couple cooling cycles before shutting her down. Just my suggestion from Boston.

I too tend to start the engine every couple of weeks, just to keep oil circulated everywhere and other fluids running around as they should..!! I also leave a fair bit of fuel in, it stops any scale in the tank drying out and dropping off causing issues (I know there should not be any)..!!

agree with the over inflation of the tyres...mine get a flat spot after two weeks of no use.

Agree with Robert having fitted a oil/water pump this summer to my project car.
Keep things moving well worth it.

This is why I jack mine. But additionally, with the suspension hanging it keeps all the pressure off the normal parts from just sitting. For instance shocks...............I guess you guys know this already and have considered it......I just wanted to add the remark in case the OP wasn't aware of these issues which are normal really for any car that's sitting.

thanks all for the input! Looks like I will be doing a few more things to my GS over the weekend before saying goodbye for the winter!
