Sorry to hear about your woes - they are fantastic cars especially the GTS version

Could the sound from the front be the tyre scrubbing the wheel arch liner - quite a common fault

Waiting for Sytner to call back. Had the car delivered last Wednesday. Apart from a quick blast on Saturday, yesterday was my first journey of about 40 miles.

Half way there and the warning engine control failure - go to dealer came up on the dash.

This time they better fix it or else it will be back for a full refund!

Trouble is I'm smitten with it.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that - I do hope that they finally get to the bottom of this for you.
As for the noise from the front - if it's a clicking type juddering noise, they've done that from new & is nothing to worry about

I've had some major problems with the dealer I bought my car off, the new consumer protection act really has come good, have a look at this link Here

If you bought it after 1st October then the dealer has to fix and if you like the car you can stand your ground and insist that they fix.

That's the noise - more pronounced when reversing off drive slope onto road. Is it better to avoid setting sport setting (stiffened suspension) until I am on the road ?

I wouldn't have thought it makes much difference as the sports suspension is designed to be progressive but you could try & let us know?

I used to have that sound on my Pirellis now I am on Michellins I don't have it.

It didn't used to always be a rubbing sound but also quite a harsh juddering skipping as though the tyres were struggling to find grip even though I was at a crawling speed.
