Good evening All
Just an introduction. After a lot of research I've taken the plunge and bought a 3200GTA. It's a May 2001 car with 52600 miles, 4 owners with the last since 2007. Just had the cambelt changed 600 miles ago and has a folder full of history. Car is silver with cream interior. Options (I've spoken to Maserati uk) red calipers Carbon kit (heater control surround) skyhook and carbon effect steering wheel that looks OEM.....I'm assuming it's part of the carbon pack. The car is stunning and I plan to leave it totally standard with the exception of upgrading the Becker Mexico to a Becker Cascade Bluetooth sat nav unit, and change the front number plate from the front to the correct position when I put my private plate on

Posts crossed. That steering wheel is probably part of the pack. I had one on my 4200.

Thank you for the welcome......I should pick the car up in a week or so.....getting full detailing from the dealer (A classic Ferrari dealer in Kent) and a new MOT
Been reading posts with interest......my real "fear" is the TB problem although at the moment the throttle responds perfectly. Still I'm sure it will be ok.....I was 50 on Monday and this was my present to myself...if I'm honest I'm a massive Aston Martin fan and I was after a DB7 but they are just too dear...my friend is the sales manager and had this in storage the condition and price was too good to pass on!!

Thank you for that....getting precise information is difficult Maserati UK told me over the phone the options fitted but couldn't print them or email them. Been trying to find the build sheet via the VIN but no luck!

Welcome! Nice birthday present to yourself, and I can't believe how dreadful the plate looks in that position! Not surprised you will be moving it :D

Thank you...can't quite believe I got away with buying it. The other half doesn't normally say much on cars, but when I sent the pictures she said wow....had to be done
Trust me the plate looks worse in the flesh!!

Welcome. Great looing car.

David Askews or Euro Spares have plenty of 3200s they are breaking and a numberplate holder should be forthcoming at little expense. The person who did this must have spent quite a bit on the task as the hilder is rivited on so the holes must have been filled and painted.

Welcome mate, I hope you found the buying guide useful.

As for the throttle body, I wouldn't change it unless it needs it really and the symptoms usually start with holding revs or stalling, it's pretty easy to tell with a Unidiag scanner anyway.

I kinda thought there should be holes and stuff!....thanks for the info I'll give them a call...I. Going to the dealer today and they have another 3200 so I'll have a look and see what's missing exactly

Hi a new thanks....I found the guide very useful indeed. Yes I agree, my mate who has the Ferrari garage has all the dianostic equipment for the Ferrari range and I'm assuming for the 3200 as well so as and when I need it I should've covered
