Did Vodafone say if there was an installation cost, this is what originally put me off.

from a resale point of view; which version would put you off, a GS with vodafone tracker or new version of Navtrak

Neither - you can get a similar tracker here http://global-trackers.co.uk with app. I installed this myself very easy and have now had it for a couple of years. I decided not to go with Vodaphone. I can check with the app where my car is at anytime and from anywhere. Have a look at their website to check out the costs.

the main advanced of the other units is that the car can be shut down if needed.
