GS rear screen de-laminating

My '06 GS rear screen is de-laminating - where can I get a new one, or this one repaired?

They can't be repaired, only replaced as an assembly.
You can't buy the glass, or seal alone, and I believe therefore if you want to remove for painting you have to replace the the complete assembly.
Not cheap though I'm afraid approx £1,700 plus fitting.
I would put up with it or maybe mask the bottom edge being black in that area? Come sell time the buyer would most likely notice so only a temporary cover-up.

What happened about selling it, I remember it was up 18 months ago with Autofiscina at a very optimistic price?

I'm on my second GT-R, still have the Atom, the Blade and still in possession of the bloody GS V5

Anyone want to buy it, it's in excellent condition.

Hi,

I had a screen replaced on insurance on my 3200 a few years back, the heating element not working ( if it happens to get damaged somehow) is covered under glass cover....

...On my quest for GS I walked away from a 06 model after diagnosing similar disease.

I bought mine like this, only reason I ask is its all but perfect bar this issue which can be fixed for free using the above methods.

I haven't done it to date as it didn't bother me in the slightest (as I bought it this way) and it's no longer insured as I don't drive it.

If the one you found only has this issue, you've probably found a good one, get it bought and fix the screen using the correct southern tool, a spade.
