Guy been to see it this weekend, very keen, my mate took him out in it and he loved it then texts me saying he has bought a 2yr old GT!!!

What does it take to shift a great example of a QPV these days?

I have today it makes me very wary now of buying a GTS If I am going to have this same problem when coming to sell that :D

Sounds like BS, why would you be looking at 15k QPs if you had 2 yr old GT money to spend

I think he had a nice free joyride

Its annoying your's is still about and I would have snapped this up but not the right time for me. I know how bothersome it is as It took me months to shift and only done so because I dropped a fair bit off it. My Brother is looking one too but his other half is adamant it can't be a huge expense so he needs an auto.

I would take it Phil but don't fancy silver & think a ZF auto would suit me better. Surprised it hasn't gone but the unknowing public are a funny bunch of time wasters.

The market is pretty dead out there to be honest talking to my brother & has been as expected for a few months. Better weather, clocks forward & people back on their feet after Xmas. I'm sure it won't be long before it goes.

My XJ hasn't gone yet but I wasn't selling for cheap money. Just going to drop it a k to look to offload next month.

I don't get the mentality of buyers. Maybe I am too fickle when it comes to cars, I buy them in my sleep rather than tyre kick and procrastinate. Look for a car, does it work? Does it look good? Does it sound good? Am I going to need to spend immediately? Bush, bash bosh job done take my money and sign the V5

Silver is for me a safe colour, don't see an issue with it compared to blacks, whites and blues!

Phil, your car is just a great example but I think silver and black has never been popular on a Maserati with buyers which why it will take a little longer to sell....but someone will come along that wants this combination and when they do they will get a great car.

Phil, you are (clearly!) used to buying, selling and flipping cars around. Many aren't. Many have no idea what they want (clearly!) and have no idea how to make a decision. Many on here know this stuff and are used to it but as soon as you list on any major sites you are opening the flood gates for muppets ;) Many people in life in general are not either good at making decisions or making the right ones. It isn't going to change any time soon I'm afraid bud ;)

For me the best colours in the QP are mid/dark blue, grey and black. White, silver, reds and greens I am not sold on but everyone is different and it is purely subjective. I am sure a good buyer will be along for yours soon. Patience is a virtue so I'm told.

The other thing as well is that it is a Maser and a 11 year old one at that with a tasty V8 and a clutch/other parts that can be pricey to fix. There isn't a massive market out there for this kind of stuff I wouldn't have said. It isn't a Golf or a Focus.

The E55k I bought was not far off half the price for a car of the same year and the same price new. Same/higher spec, faster, just as comfortable if not more, handles just as well, better brakes. With 7 seats to boot it is a compelling buy. It is admittedly ugly as sin and silver also not a patch on the beauty that is a QP. There is a lot of ball park similar lumpy stuff in the 2nd hand market for the same or less cash.

I'll buy you a pint if it doesn't sell in April ;)

Yep second viewing and he fell in love. First one I can't comment on as a mate showed him round it but from his grammar on emails he wasn't an obvious candidate and could well have wanted a free test ride!

Nice work Phil. Forgot to say if it didn't sell in April you can buy me a pint!

Amazing what clocks going forward & a bit of better weather can do.

Was shame it didn't go to a forum member but that's life.

It's nice to be able to drive a car for 6 months and not lose on it :)
