I never knew selling a QP would be this hard. I sold my 3200 on the sound alone at a petrol station, this is a much more sorted car in terms of condition and provenance too!

I know how frustrating it is my friend. Took me the best part of 3 months and that was drop after drop. There was one point an MD was offering me a cash price of 21k and I was close to taking the hit before the phone went.

Stay patient, Spring is coming!

I'll be putting up my S Class Brabus up for sale next week. If it sells before yours does, I maybe having a trip down to Newbury...

Powerplant Mercs can be a hard sell too, my CLS 55 took ages to shift and in the end another 55 owner bought it because he got bored with black.

Apologies for the delays in reverting, I've been away in Paris with the girlfriend (which has taken me a step back from the new car fund...)

It's a Brabus but Brabus light. Had all the bits fitted when new by the dealer so it has: D6 chip, lowering module, front and rear bumpers and skirts, valances, front fog lights, quad exhausts and illuminated interior kick plates. Engine is the plain old 3.0 diesel but with the chip and the torque it does shift.

Colour is a Designo mystic blue.

Later poor pic with it's new wheels on.

Well I was considering getting some Uber stickers made up only to avail myself of the £5 valets which the local carwash does for taxi drivers.

Hi Contigo, spotted your new ad on Pistonheads. Free advice from a current QP hunter :) Could do with some more pics of the interior, front & back, taken on a duller day, so you don't get the unlit bits washing out. Exterior pics look great. Not greatly swayed by the previous owner being a Lord personally :). Every maser I've looked at has been owned by wealthy and enthusiastic people who've shelled out what's needed on servicing. Sometimes eye-watering amounts. Mine had a receipt for £8k from Greypaul - service, camcover gaskets and new disks & pads all round. Could have bought a decent car for that.

There seem to be loads of older 05/06 DS QPs sticking around. I guess the trade and public are scared enough of Maseratis, never mind if they need £1400 spending on new clutches every 40k miles! The press seem to rave about the ZF by comparison, and never fusses about pauses during gearchanges when changing gear themselves in a manual cars.
