Float Your Boat

Ok, speaking as a person who cannot hold her finger on the angry emoji without them all getting a blue highlight colour:-
I would off-load the containers only from the pointy end of the ship with a chinook. Just the ones at the end because then the bow would float higher. I’d then try to swing the boat round pulling from the bow.
Obviously, it would take me a few minutes to climb out of my helicopter and board my trusty tugboat.

Easy to do, just tell the locals they can help themselves to the contents and it will be stripped clean in a day... rather like what happend to my luggage on my trip to Luxor back in 1998.

Yep, the shipping company should leak the news that it's loaded with Covid vaccine bound for the EU.

I still can’t master the angry button! Tssssk!

Ask Wattie.

Alternatively, if you press and hold the Like button for long enough eventually you will see a happy face. Although if you move your finger too much to the side you may get an angry face.

You need to press the button and whilst still pressing make small movements with your finger to select the other emojis.

Apologies if this comes across as mansplaining as the truth is I do not know what I am doing hence why I don't give out angry emojis.

I also have no nautical nouse so I cannot comment on whether or not they are taking the right steps to clear the canal, but it seems to me that if you are a terrorist Suez and Panama are your two biggest targets rights now.

Where's Anthony Eden when you need him? He was always good with a crisis in Suez.

40 years ago was with the family cruising down the River Ouse and we hit a sand bank at Goole.
It was a Fyord 27 with twin Volvo Penda inbords. Couldn't get her off with a Fairline 32 Sedan Flybridge and just had to wait until the tide changed.
She floated free and then discovered that both rudders had sheared off in the sand bank!
Fortunately being twin screw for direction control managed to lockout at Goole Docks with a massive container ship (in comparison!) and got her repaired at the local shipyard.

So can easily see what a problem this is, as soon as any lift under the bow from banking, with all that momentum, and all that weight barring down on the bank, can't see tugs having any impact on moving her.
High tide (tried that) or unloading only answers from my sofa!

It worked! Not mansplaining at all! I’ll have a practice now on some other posts. Ta very much!

Is the Suez as canal or a man made navigable waterway? What defines a canal?

And, while we're on the subject, when I lived in Copenhagen I used to take a boat to work but it's not a river, it's a what? Straits? It divides Copenhagen centre from Amager (pronounced Ammer in the odd Danish language and Chistiania (pot-heads) and there's open (ish) sea at both ends....
