Love the black skirts, makes it look both sleeker and more muscular at the same time, and emphasises the nose harking back to older Maserati designs. Great car!

Awesome red car however I will be using mine as a daily driver so needed something just that slighly more subtle so black for me :)

Im a contractor/consultant and work on site with client teams and am always getting those stupid comments like "you earn too much" blah blah - although I love saying "I don't earn too much - you earn too less!" I try and avoid the negativity by sticking to more subtle colours for my choice of cars.
The car Im buying was black with black wheels but I am having the wheels re-done in grey/anthracite to make it a bit less flashy :)

If mine was a weekend car i'd love red or Bianco Fuji!

I get your point about the RRS - luckily our family hack is a Cayenne SD and I also have just ordered a new C class AMG line Diesel on contract hire for the random run around where i would'nt take the maser.

Crazy deals on merc contract hire at the moment! PM me if anyone needs details but Im basically paying £9k for two year in a new C class!

Welcome mcs, great choice of car and looks fantastic in black.
Reverse gear button did wear out on mine but more because button was faulty so whole thing was changed. You won't use the "1st" button as it's easier/quicker to just use paddle to select first gear. I'm sure a new button can't be too expensive.
Unlike the carbon front splitters! These are part of an exterior carbon pack and go with rear spoiler and in some cases door mirror/handle caps. The splitters are over £1k each from a dealer :omg: but I have seen cars with what looks like the same splitter but painted plastic. Don't know how much these are but may worth trying to wrap them if you want the carbon look.
Best of luck with it and look forward to pics, enjoy the noise, sport mode on all the time!!
Cheers Blu

Hi MCS and welcome to the "Fold"
Great choice of car
I came from a comfy Range Rover Sport and was dredding the ride but it's surprisingly comfy even in "sport" mode, as you'll leave it in that mode 99% of the time because of the noise.
I thought I would have had to get rid of mine by now, wifey didn't like the Audi RS6 because it was too harsh but she loves the Mazza
Looking forward to seeing some pictures of yours as soon as you have her
Here's a shot of mine to keep you going

Love red on these! If I had gone for a factory order car would have gone with red. The depth of shine is stunning..

Today is the day :D Will have some pics up soon

I've had thee or four cars on your previous list depending on how strict we are on roofs!

Hope you enjoy it. At least the MC shift is now smoother than the M5/M6, something which could not be said of the 4200.

You must spend a fortune on washing your cars with all that black...

Thank you - I have a KIK Valeting come every fortnight to look after my cars :) I love black cars IMHO they bring out the best curves in a car :)

OMFG what a noise :D:D I love it! It's here. Feel like a kid in a candy shop! That sport button is just orgasmic :D

I have a bit of an incline on my driveway and I usually park my cars reversed in but with this the clutch was stinking like it was burning so decided to park the other way round (front end in first) - It's not that bad an incline probably around 25% but the clutch did smell - is this normal?

It's one of the issues with these sort of boxes. FWIW clutch life is meant to be far better on the GranTurismo than on the 4200. What clutch % remaining/miles did the car have at purchase?
