Dacia Duster

And that completes the list of every SUV for sale in the UK today

I'd find a car supermarket that lets you have the keys to many cars so you can sit in a few different models all on one site

Aren't they ridiculously unreliable?

I looked at getting the missus one before the ML, but the horror stories on the interweb were shocking. Even the new ones!

I had a rental Grand Cherokee in Canada recently and loved it but the a/c did not work very well and it was 28c so turned me off the car somewhat.

Generally I got used to the car vey quickly as it had Ghibli infomatics.

Let me know when she sees them and you buy the 'evoke'. She will love it

So after a day looking at barn conversions and SUVs I am about to get ******...but before that we are now down to 4;
Volvo V60 R Design
BMW X3 M spec
RR Evoque
MB GLC

Now need to organise some drives... oh and yes budget has gone up by £4k too.

Land Rover have offered us a weekend with the Evoque so we plan to drive to Cribbs Causeway and rry the others back to back with a later visit to Volvo Bristol as they are further away...would be great to get them all together at once to compare.

All would be nice. For what it's worth we have a friend with a GLC and they love it...

Is there a wide variation in terms of the spec and age you need to go for to keep in budget?

As Jon says all nice cars.
We have 2 of the 4. The X3 and GLC are quite a big bigger than the Evoque so it depends what size is needed.
No idea about the Volvo . You can't go wrong with any.
Will be be really interesting to know what you go for and would love to see pics.

It looks really comfortable and practical with a big boot, but its not in the same stratosphere interior quality wise as the RR IMO.

Utter rubbish Iain, sorry. I usually like what you have to say but on this one you simply don't know what you're on about. Both have very good interiors, the RR is absolutely not better than the Volvo's at all.

There's also a very recent facelift to the XC60 which has taken it up a notch further. Don't get me wrong here, it's not because I own an XC60, I have also owned 2 Range Rovers. The Volvo is really, very very good.

New one here..good deals on it too

Certainly looks like the new ones have taken it up a notch..
The one posted IMO doesn't compare to a top spec Evoque dynamic- but having said that there would be 10k+ price difference at that mileage and age, even though the Volvo is a bigger car.
I have only heard good things about the Volvo SUVs - either would be a good buy.
I would like to look at the new XC60, the E pace and the Stelvio

My wife has had her Mercedes GLC 250 for nearly two years, and it's a fantastic car in that mould. We do the Algarve and back in it every summer - very comfortable, spacious and economical - and zero reliability issues, only seen the dealer for an oil service
