Cracked Front Hubs

A very similar situation to the bushes in the wishbone debacle, 2 materials that should not really be put together because of reaction/corrosion, not very good engineering, all this whilst under the watchful eye of Ferrari product development/management!

Personally I don't think this is as bad as the wishbones.. well.. not quite as bad..

One of mine cracked after hitting a pot hole. The other I'm not sure.. but probably due to some blunt impact force.

I'm very wary of potholes these days... these cars are fragile...

I agree. After cracking both front and rear near side wheels I am extremely careful of potholes.
It is not just the cars but our **** roads.:frusty6:

Trevor, there is steel insert pressed into the casting and its machined to take the taper of the track rod so the aluminium casting is not put under stress.

However after 10-15 years in service with many replacements the bush may compress a little enough to stress the casting. I suspect there are no instances of this on new hubs? if it cracked and was only a year old i would scream design fault but at this age its get a little more blurred i suspect.
