The problem with these early spyders is that they are just not very good. Wibble-wobble, wibble-wobble jelly on a plate. You're basically paying for the badge and nice sounding engine.
At any rational level, a Merc SL (especially the 55 AMG) blows it out of the water. I bought both back in about 2003 and still have the Merc, not the Spyder.
If you want to spend mid to high teens on a convertible, there are far better cars than the Maser, I'm sad to say. But weirdly, it doesn't stop me being just a little bit tempted by this, especially if the seller will take a cheeky offer given the time of year.
