What do you mean Hybrid? - So many cars have some form of hybrid, basically using the starter motor. Self Charging Hybrid, or Plug In... and of course what range is req and size of the car.

A Mazda 2 is within that budget but its only a pretend hybrid.
Plug in hybrid preferred. As then for a long drive, you can just rely on fuel and not have to stop to recharge. But, for short journeys benefit from the electric.

I think at that price point you will be very limited esp if you need more that 5k miles PA

I think Seat may be your best bet, the Cupra Formentor Estate1.4 eHybrid

With BOE interest rates now at 3% I anticipate all leas deals will be far higher than people may have enjoyed in the last few years
They will be short term but with demand for new cars likely to fall, manufacturers will start discounting again materially so it might offset it. Hard to guess medium term.

I ran some numbers through one of those PCP calculators and at 12% APR (laughable but where the market is going on a lot of used stuff) then interest alone was over 40% of the monthly payments on a typical four year deal.

I'd look at Suzuki. The whole range has gone petrol/electric hybrid. They look decent, they are well made and well priced.

My father-in-law buys them one after the other and loves them. I think it's a lot of car for the money. And they are all auto, as far as I can tell, with lots of standard options so even a base car seems decent value.
Suzuki's are surprisingly good. My Swift is a bit tinny after a Seat Leon but it's light, has a tiny but powerful engine and is great fun to drive.

Something I can plug in... free Lecky from work...

Which companies will soon start to clamp down on. You shouldn't siphon fuel out of the company cars but you can plug in your car to charge for free.
Yep. And the council will get you for parking at work. Coming to a town near you soon.

I have just bought (not leased) my wife a little Vitara 1.4 boost jet, they call it a hybrid but the EV side supports the petrol, it’s does not run on electric alone.
Well spec’d (car play etc) comfortable car that has a surprising turn of speed ……
Round town MPG is at 44 mpg which is impressive enough for me.
They had just reduced the new cars by £3k and the dealer sweetened the deal further with a strong bid on the Corsa.

Bit of thread resurrection, I have to give the 'single litre supercar beater' back in June so having a butchers at leasing deals and this came up... don't laugh too hard...

Hmmm. Don’t think so!
Plus, it’s not even that price, is does the maddening, should be illegal, ‘marketing’ ploy of quoting in big numbers the monthly amount, failing to put in equally big letters it’s 12 months payments up front. So it’s actually 30% more than advertised. Sorry, little rant there! :)

30mph top speed , I saw one in the flesh, they look even weirder than in pictures

It'll get you noticed that's for sure, I wouldn't drive past a school at 3pm, the humiliation would be crushing, 100s of kids laughing and pointing
