That's great news Mark...I see that it has been offered to the other groups coming along now....Well done for pushing this Mark.....Will add to the amount we raise on the day and help protect all the other cars as well....

Appreciate the organisers have a lot on but is it worth someone contacting Trakktape and see if they'll do a bulk deal for all the car clubs involved?

Read above mate,

"Once I know numbers I can work out cost - it won't be expensive and certainly cheaper than a smart repair or respray."

Read the above, mate: 'all the car clubs....' :)

Of course, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what you were doing :)

Generosity of spirit?! :)

What I meant but obviously didn't explain well was that if the organisers can get a bulk deal like they do with the hotel, then the other car clubs can use that with TrakkTape and it will benefit us all.

Less than half of those on the list are also on the group buy for TrakkTape. Please see this thread:

http://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/showthread.php/21092-Brunty-Track-tape-group-buy?

and add add your name if you want some. Once I know numbers I can work out cost - it won't be expensive and certainly cheaper than a smart repair or respray.

Not ignoring the offer Mark, but the QP is getting a front respray later this year anyway, so a few more blemishes won't really matter.

I hereby award you your 'Cat Herding Mastery' certificate ;)

I'm in agreement with all of the above points. As chief cat herder from my brake disc group buy experience I decided to approach this in a different way, not least because it's a charity event.

The following has happened/will happen:

1. I am organising a group buy for SM members only.
2. The founder of TrakkTape has very generously offered some free product to go alongside our order as we are doing this event to raise money.
3. I have put the UK distributor in touch with the organisers of OYM to offer the product to other clubs present as stone chipping is an issue for all of us.
4. TrakkTape will make a donation to OYM on the basis of sales for the event for all clubs who make a purchase.

I don't want to benefit or profit from a charity and I know that none of you will either, so thought it best to not get involved in trying to arrange collecting money from various sources, delivery of the product etc. and to ensure any financial benefit would go straight to OYM.

Paul (GranCab) has had to pull out, due to not being in the country on the day. Bad planning on his part, and he's gutted about it after being overwhelmed by how great the day was last year.

Count me in please, brining the QP. No chance I'll have the 3200 back on all wheels by them. Once I do though.....
