. And sometimes it's a bit embarrassing trying to introduce yourself to total strangers who may have no idea who you are despite having made some posts ahead of the event

I end up wondering if I should introduce myself to people I met years before. I have a terrible memory for people.....

It frequently surprises me to find people with a Maserati who have never heard of the forum. Surely if you buy a Mas you do a Google search for 'other Maserati idiots' almost immediately.
So true.
Here, Maserati Life and Enrico’s came up on Google 7 or 8 years ago.

Looks amazing - and you're not alone with a burnt bonce Dem - there were many amongst the folk festival crowd I to battle through on my return from work :(

I still think we should all meet at an allotted time for introductions at these functions. Eg gather at this point at 10am for 30 minutes. Then you always have the option of spotting the rabble at a distance and heading off in a different direction.
Helen, your offer has been accepted and you have been promoted to event logistics director

I don’t mind doing that if I’m going to the actual event. But I will need minions to do all the dirty work when I’m off galavanting.

I also think @Harry (lovely to see you by the way, albeit briefly) has a really good idea with the organised 'meet and greet' moment at these events. Helen we know, Alan and Tony, met Mark and David for the first time. Plus I have the worst memory in the world for names. Really shocking! Luckily Mrs GP is much better at that than I am :)

Hope your bonce is feeling better Dem, and thanks very much for organising!
