That was a great event, I was rushing around looking at everything so not around my car much, didn't speak to anyone :( Great to see so many gorgeous Maserati's in 1 place though!

It was indeed a great day. Beautiful weather (too beautiful for Dem by the looks of things!). The cars all looked magnificent in the sun and it was wonderful to see such a good turnout. Lovely to see everyone and thanks to Dem for organising.

I still think we should all meet at an allotted time for introductions at these functions. Eg gather at this point at 10am for 30 minutes. Then you always have the option of spotting the rabble at a distance and heading off in a different direction.

Great pics gents, thanks for sharing those - that gorgeous RHD Flaminia GT is mega rare... want, want, want... :p

Was very cheesed off not to have been there and ended up doing a fourteen hour shift yesterday, grrr etc.

Or some sort of mutual recognition signal. Like a name badge.

and a hat - that look painful

Or a hat...

Or red trousers, but then I guess we would get confused with the Ferrari crowd :p

Seriously though, I think Harry’s suggestion of a designated “meet up” time sounds like a plan.

I chatted to 4 guys who arrived in a quatroporte with a fruity exhaust and another guy in a GT but turned out neither had anything to do with the forum. That meant there were quite a few non forum cars parked up so for guys like me who haven’t been to many events it’s hard to say hello.

It frequently surprises me to find people with a Maserati who have never heard of the forum. Surely if you buy a Mas you do a Google search for 'other Maserati idiots' almost immediately.

And I was there but completely unaware that you forum chaps had arranged a mob attendance!

My fault entirely for not frequenting the forum very often, or paying attention when I do.

I tend to agree with the need for a 'flag-pole' gathering at a set time. I've been a member since 2014 and so know a few others by sight and reputation, but there are so many more members now who are unknown to me, and others I'm sure. And sometimes it's a bit embarrassing trying to introduce yourself to total strangers who may have no idea who you are despite having made some posts ahead of the event. As an example, yesterday, I fumbled my way through saying hello to Scalded Cat for the first time and made a right muff of it (Zep, Dem and MLC in earshot!). She, of course, was forgiving, as was Dem on another faux pah I made . Anyway, it's still the best forum around with the best peeps.
