I see what you mean Robert on Brembo vs OE for the maser...of course we are talking about Ferrari 550 discs as an alternative for the 4200, but for my 550 the Brembos are OE!

Can anyone confirm if the 4200 discs are the same as 4.2 QP with 4pot caliper? I'm inclined to think they are? Does anyone has the dims?

Cheers

Thx Enzo... I'm looking for replacements that are less that £1200 a pair! ...:-/

Do try getting a quote from DL in Swindon, I had the solid type (standard) discs, which I replaced like-with-like in Dec '12...
I cant remember the exact cost, but from memory they were around 350 for the front pair (with a generous discount).
I think you have the upgrade or sports discs which are drilled, I know these are much more expensive, but work trying DL.

You are very welcome David, I hope they can work out a good deal for you,
Gavin Waldron is the parts man you need to speak to there,
Alan Clarke has moved on and is now in charge of the workshops.

How do you paint the discs ensuring that you make a perfect circle?
If you paint more then required will the pads clear the excess off?
I have fitted new Brembo nearly two years ago but did not paint them. They are not rusty since my car is always garaged but I would like to pain them.

I bought a box of soft edge masking tape...something like this:

but if there is any overspray, the pad removes it.

My disc rotor hubs have been coated with VHT High Temp Brake calliper drum and rotor paint in clear.
I am hoping this will last a while because I am very pleased with the result.
