I don't buy the commute argument - I have worked in London and Routinely spent 1-1.5 hours commuting with my face in way too close proximity to armpits on the tube.
Just back from 4 days in London. Fantastic public transport system but people running like lemmings from train to tube and people telling me a 20 mile commute I have to work which I do in 20 minutes is too far compared to their 4 mile commute which takes twice as long!!
Was shown a "park" which was supposed to be one of the highlights of living in that area. Stretch of grass about half a mile by three quarters of a mile and about 20 trees on it. Locals call it the forest.
Full of people playing football and dogs cr@pping on it and this is beautiful?
Horses for courses but the older I get the more I want a lifestyle not an existence no matter how well paid it is.
Oddly enough I was told a few days ago that some of the top consultants in various fields are moving from hospitals in the South to the Highlands as they are looking for quality of life.
At this rate I will need to get rid of the straw hanging out my mouth! Lol
