Adam, I'm using a Guy on my GTS as we speak, ( I literally picked the car up today and took it straight to him for a few stone chips and some pin head dents). He's based in Hatfield Peverel, and I had great results from him when I had my Rover 75 done for the " Fifth Gear" that it was filmed for recently.
Let me know if you want his details.

Thanks sjc. I have Dent Devils round on Thursday morning. We'll see how they get on. On the phone the guy said that cricket and golf ball thwacks can bend the metal beyond the point of recovery, so he's cautious. If he leaves without fixing it I'll see if your guy can help. Dent Devils was recommended by a couple of dealers so I'm cautiously optimistic...

I used dent devils only today for my car and there did a first class job , alas not from your area though but I would recommend the one I used without hesitation.

How do they charge...by dent or by panel...I have one I need to get done on my wheel arch.

There is a difference in quality between all of them. I had a shopping cart dent that one person said was impossible to get to and another just did it without a question, and it was perfect.

Like any job, there are levels of skill.

I had a couple of small dents in drivers door, one in rear door and one on rear wheel arch on my Maserati quattroporte.
I watched the magic happen in front of my own eyes. Now car looks as good as new.
Was told that the man doing mine was one of the best with 18 years fixing dents.
was not the cheapest but one of the best, done at chelmsford carriage company, near chelmsford.

Following up on this thread, I had Ian from Dent Finish round yesterday to do a couple of dents on the Quattroporte.

Both were on the swage line and fairly innocuous looking. I sent him a couple of pics and he gave me a quite over the phone and popped round when he said he would.

A job which should have taken him an hour took 2.5 hrs as he forgot to ask whether the windows were double glazed. If they are it's a whole different technique to repair the dent.

He used a combination of the glue method and bars and the finish is exemplary.

What impressed me most was that despite giving me a quote and realising it would take much longer, he didn't try and skimp or rush things. Just got to work methodically and patiently and finished the job only when the doors were immaculate.

It was real craftsmanship and old fashioned service and I'm happy to recommend him to anyone in the North West who needs dents fixing.

Just mention that your windows are double glazed if they are !

His company is www.dentfinish.co.uk and mobile is 07737731119

It's his own business and he therefore cares about reputation lore than making a quick buck.

I ended up giving him a few extra ££ as he'd done such a top job !

Cheers

Jonny

Just to readdress the balance, my 3 week old GTV went in for some minor warranty work or items that they had missed and came out dented down both flanks. I went f***ing ape sh!t

They had been swapping an interior in a car parked next to it so the dope head tech had been bashing the sides of my car in. Perrys in Farlington, Portsmouth probably the worst dealer I have ever had the mis fortune to live near.

Anyway they sent out their dent guy who did not put the sheild down the window apature to lever off of so scratched both glass windows up so then had to go in to be replaced.

I have a great guy I only use now: Justin of DentCraft, he is Portsmouth based but well worth the effort to go and see.

£160 cash and he went round the whole car, roof included as the coupes seem to come from the factory with dent above the sun visors, or at least all 3 of mine had them here and I have notices it on other members cars.

I had mine done at the DMC meet in April and he went round the whole car and it cost me under £50. Removed a good dozen dings... Ask Ian he saw the before and after, simply amazing!
