Premiere Edition cars with all the bells and whistles for low 30’s….
Alpine have lost the plot with this nonsense for me. Self indulgent b0ll0x.I suppose they think it helps the brand?
Lots of manufacturers make crazy track specials in very low, limited numbers for their ardent fans. Be that Lambo, Ferrari, Aston, McLaren, Bugatti etc., and they all sell out instantly. So why not Alpine.
The A110R at circa £95k is about as good a road-and-track car as you can buy in the U.K., so why not go all out for a track special.
As you say, probably good for the brand, and gives their racing department and F1 boffins something else to think about.

I take your point. I am on board up to a point. This is like the Porsche game wherein they identify those with more money than sense and target their wallets to the exclusion of everything else..Buy in here, spend £X amount and then maybe, maybe, we’ll think about it…
I was interested in their Pikes Peak project. This isnt that. This is arguably at a cost of their F1 team performance,, The top brass in Alpine F1 has a penchant for micromanaging from up his own “‘* Theit F1 performance is starting to flag. Something like an own goal to me…
You don’t see BMW doing it. Or Mercedes…? I think Alpine have delusions of grandeur.

Whether it taints their brand beyond my sorry ar5e that is never likely to pony up for a new car anyway ( like just about everyone else in this country too, frankly) remains to be seen. It’s their gig.
“ knock yourself out” as they say…!

Rather strange French car this. One thing for sure I would not like to hit by this car. It is not a question of being run over, more like you would be all over the place!
