Fantasy... but ultimate car right. Es possible? The gearbox is the same
I've always said that I'd do this if I won the lottery.
I spoke to Voicey to see if it was possible, he seems to think it's do able.
But then anything is do-able if you throw enough cash at it.
You'd need a bodywork write off 599 as a doner car. That'll be your hardest part.
Drive one. He wasn’t even trying , trust me.I was very very very disappointed by a 599 GTO at the weekend. Driving immediately behind it, the sound was less enjoyable than my GS when it's half a mile away (or more) and that was even when it was floored under bridge. I then also was holding back in my Focus ST with winter tyres to keep up with it on the local B roads. Shame
Of that I'm sure! But I wanted it to make noise for meDrive one. He wasn’t even trying , trust me.
Can't see the point of putting the Enzo engine in a GTS. Simply buy a 599 instead! Stunning looking car in its own right, with a vastly superior interior.
The GT is a prettier car than the 599.
Is it?
As I said above, if I'd just won the Euro millions I'd do it, just to see if you could!
In those circumstances, I'd buy a GTO.

Other than to find out if you can, I don't see the point. You can supercharge the v8 and get 646bhp from it which seems a far easier (and way cheaper) route to massive power. I understand the challenge of doing it but what's the real gain? As mentioned before, it's likely to be house slightly further forward in the engine bay which is a handling disaster. There's plenty of nose heavy Mercs with silly power if that's your thing.
That surprises me. I recall seeing a 599 GTO crawling around Victoria a few years back (the chap used it as a commuter) and it sounded out of this world. Like an F1 car from a few years back. It wa ps White with a blue strip (5 DSL for the plate spotters here) and from that day forward, it’s top of my Lottery win list.I was very very very disappointed by a 599 GTO at the weekend.
