I hate to start getting boffin here .... mine hasn't got the cup holder but a little cubby hole & cigarette lighter & has a little handy "phone holder" next to the wing mirror adjust buttons too .....

And the coupe camciocorse lettering is on the other side of the glovebox ....?

Do you think it makes any difference mine was originally supplied in Ireland?

SF

The cars shown are the faced lift version with the GS style bumpers, sorry S/F yours is the previous year model...still a lovely motor

Sounds like a change to the last face lift cars then.

No don't think so, looking on Pistonheads there are some newer face lift cars with correct handing.
Its simply a case that they most likely ran out of RHD ones and fitted LHD ones instead!
Ten years ago I used to visit an Italian machine manufacturer before they shipped to the UK...they where always fitting alternative 'incorrect' parts when they ran out of the 'correct' specified parts!
Personally though, it would really iritate me knowing it was not correct!

Asked the seller a few questions. The clutch was replaced in 2009, not last year. And he has no receipts for the clutch change.
Maybe I'm a little picky, but that and the LHD parts would put me off slightly. It does look a lovely car though.

Hmm, the receipt for the clutch.......Thats one thing I would have kept....Big part of selling one of these cars. Did he say at what miles it was changed.

2009... It could have been changed 3 years ago!
However if the LHD bits don't bother you...and these can be changed, and an independent inspection is okay with a good clutch wear reading...
I would expect that the seller did not change the clutch under his ownership, which begs the question how many owners has the car had? If only a couple, you state on the advert, if many, you don't...
Give the guy a ring to clear up all these questions...it's good to talk!

dealers are trying to get more for late face lift models.....He had a starting price od 21k on ebay and I think he was asking closer to 23k back last year........Low miles, good service history recent clutch will always command more.......I like this one a lot.....

Mark, can not remember where you reverse thing is as yours is also a late face lift...?...

Sorry, Andy, missed all of this. Mine is indeed on the right. Though, there are differences apparently, as Meridian were telling me, within just a short manufacturing space of time, centre consul colour, some runs had the 'shift forward to select 1st', some didn't, and the last ones where probably a case of using up what was left, as the different Gransport interior was well under way. So probably nothing sinister there.

This car seems to have been knocked a bit on here, but I think with a full inspection by Dick Lovetts locally would show where any haggling could be made, for what is quite probably a really good car, and looks gorgeous to my eyes.

Actually, looking at the pictures again, and I'm sure others may well have noticed this, if you look really closely at them, Andy, you may see that they have your name written aalllll over them!

Do it, and hurry, Nibiru is on it's way... ;-)

that looks very nice and i think if as nice as it looks then worth it. however it will not have sold because joe public would all have a gransport at that price point. hence it slow to sell

Yep get that but I'n now thinking leggy GS or better late face lift 4200....At the end of the day they are a GS without the side skirts, side skirts and 10bhp...All other bits are the same...Oh apart from interior that is......
