I've heard a similar thing but I think it depends on how. If it were due to a speed bump or hyrdo locking through a deep puddle of water it is possible. Don't think general mechanical failure will achieve the same result though.
I wonder if he has got away with a new crank and conrod/s or if it has put a hole in the block?
Yep saw that, if it's spun the shell then the crank is probably scored pretty bad and clearly the pistons are bye bye. Oversized bearings ?There are two pistons, two rods and one big end cap. I suspect the other one popped out for some fresh air!
Silly question but what’s the point of stripping it?
Surely that engine is “lunched” and a new one is required.....
