Phil ,
I have a couple of customers wit Gransport's that on has done 130k and the other one 164k , and they drive and sound as new .
The difference is this cars get serviced once a year .
Personally I thing on the new cars should at list have an oil service every year relevant of mileage.
I think 2 year servicing on a lot of cars is a big problem. The manufacturers don't care as its a good selling point, and by the time its a problem they're out of warranty anyway.
I will always at least change fluids annually.
Most of the people don't even open there Bonnet between services and when the cars have a problem they blame the manufacturers.
And that is a big problem with cars like ours. Without being offensive to anyone, the
typical purchaser of a brand new Maserati, I imagine, would be an educated gentleman, probably a businessman etc, and has a fair bit of cash.....probably not of a practical/mechanical mind, and even if they are, probably doesn't have the time or inclination to maintain or even check their car on a regular basis, and possibly not notice if something isn't quite right, and carry on driving regardless.
PS. the generalisation above excludes most on here. As if you are a member on here you are at least a petrol head and have a passion for the cars, so would most probably be more sympathetic with your pride and joy.
