I bet it's a challenge hiding all those expensive repair bills from your wife's / g.f's ;-)
If it was my main hobby then there's no problem spending a bit of money on something that you enjoy.

My main hobby is flying , so I bleed money with aircraft every year. I'd recommend that you get your kids into flying (or maserati ownership) as they'll never have cash for drugs ever again !

Been out of the loop for a long time and just spotted this. I think we know each other Neil! Running costs can be variable if something major goes wrong then you could be at the £3k end of things but from personal experience £1500 p/a been more or less the norm. This is helped in part by alternative parts e.g. Mann pollen filter, bosch lambda sensor, discs , pads etc and forum discount helps as well although some savings can be small it all adds up in the end. With the 3200passed 10 y/o if everything is still original then you might be looking at replacing some of the more expensive parts.
Attached is a service schedule and costs from a respected independent

Depends on where you take it and how serious you are about running it and changing things when they need doing. I have bills here for the one we just got that will make most peoples eyes water. The problem is alot of the cars out there haven't had anything like the money they should have had spent on them and that's why alot are broken because to do all the jobs would require spending as much as the car cost again.

Thanks Andrew ,et all . I've decided to shy away from both the 3200 and 4200 . I own aircraft and they also provide rather nasty bills. As much as I want a 3200 I can't yet justify the running costs along with my other toys. Maybe one day ... but great advice and some good info here for other forum members looking .. :)

All costs are relative, if you do the miles, they need servicing..!! For a "Super-Car" the costs are pretty good when you think of what you are driving around..!!

I agree Robert, I do not grudge a penny for servicing costs but a grand for wishbone arm is having a laugh!
