So I went to Belgravia garage yesterday to look at the car. My appointment was for 3.30pm but they took 30 minutes getting it out, it was upstairs.
First impressions was it was covered in a thick layer of dust. Says 31,000 miles but the drivers seat is very worn. May be just because all journeys in London are normally small ones. I can confirm it IS the car with the small screen modified into the centre vent. It ran fine for 10 minutes or so then went into a cycle of constantly revving for a few seconds then normal tickover for a few seconds, it then did this for the whole time I was there. Underside of car looked pretty good. Rusty water coming out of n/s exhaust, probably from where it had been stood still without being started since November 2012 according to sales person Lee. It has a few minor scrapes on it and three trolley dents that I could see under the dust. The funny mats are just that....some mats, the carpeting was good although a bit grubby. That about sums the car up to be honest.........a bit grubby.
I might put in a cheeky late bid but it won't be for much more than it is currently bid up to as it will sure take a couple of Grand to get it looking and behaving reasonable. I was not allowed to drive it by the way.
PS skip the cheeky bid idea, I just talked myself out of it!

No doubt Nick, but at times they can be thin on the ground........then 3 come along at once and are snapped up quite quickly

Think so, had it a long time, barely drive it, buying a new property, fancy a new car to go with it.

Well there are a few things on my list but the fact I've lost my NCB may mean I go down the classic route for a few years. I'll work out what is possible once I've moved next month and sold the car.
