But the Diablo I had before that was blue, as was my 355 before that one. My dalliance with Giallo Midas and Giallo Fly was brief! Oh, the interior of that Diablo is dark blue, so hopefully that makes up for it!

I'm actually quite impressed, the two threads on the 3200s reaching good/high prices we haven't done the usual knocking. If you look on Autotrader the prices, if you discount the couple of low figured ones are all in the high teens, to 20s.

Has been false dawns before with the old girls but I've always said all the 3 sisters are comparatively worth far more than they go for. GS prices have held well, I believe because of last of line and low numbers but have noticed that both 42 and 32 prices are hardening some too recently. And yes, breath of fresh air not hearing the usual running down from us because if we don't talk these cars up, no one else will.

The world has gone mad - am I the only one who sees a number plate as a series of characters which are just a means of registration?
What next, vanity National Insurance numbers?!?
I'm with you Stu. Why pay money for a plate you get on the car for free. I find them a bit pretentious and look at me more often than not. Although it would help if you have many vehicles with same letters to help remember or audit them. I can see why companies often do it.

I don't understand the plate thing either. It's a number on the car. I'd rather be able to lose the front one as I think it spoils the lines of the car but what's printed on it doesn't matter to me.

I have several personal plates and most expensive one was £150. Most valuable is my late fathers plate who got it in 1957 when he bought his first new car. That was before suffix and prefix and no one paid for personal plates so cost nothing.
However I don't see the problem with plates. We all tend to modify our cars in one way or another be it exhausts, interior or wheels and a plate is just another way of personalising your car.

Mine's been for sale for 6 months and not a single view yet. Could be something to do with the economy here at the moment, but these cars sell very slowly. At least nobody has rung and asked me what price I will take before they've even seen it...pet hate. I'm not too fussed and I'm not going to 'meet the market'. 2 Maseratis and a TVR isn't excessive is it??

On the plates question, I prefer personalised plates, as long as they celebrate the car rather than the owner, plus they have to be exactly right - no 5s instead of 's' etc.. Given they cost very little here and there's no ongoing cost, why not? I got "QP" for the QP, and "TVR280i" for the tiv, but each to their own.

I ask as i have the personalised plate 'HIG2045' which was an 18th birthday gift from the parents. The 'Hig' being significant to my surname higgs and 2045 meaning nothing. It's been on every daily car that i've ever owned (which is really quite a pain in the *** paying £80 every transfer!). How much would you like for the plate? How does £25 and a back rub sound?

No......but have toyed with changing surname to Higgins though if that helps ;)

Or Happy Italian Green maybe? Lol
