Those things have always looked to me like the b4stard love child of a 355 and a Testarossa.

Adam , i can understand its not your cup of tea when your drooling over supercars 90% of the time , but get real mate , sometimes its about getting bang for your buck , not everyone has an exhaustable budget , someone would be able to sort this including buying it for under 12K , appears it was some ones garage queen , and very low miles for its year , so still some very good years in the old girl yet , especially as someones 2nd/ weekend car

You can have that ready for 12k??!!

Not bad price.....

I can see it finishing around the £8/ £9k mark Dem bits and paint should be no more than £3K with a little running about to the right places

Agree Loz.....I have always liked the 348...Not the best Ferrari bit a few choice upgrades makes it a very good first Ferrari....

If you could get it for 355 replica money then yeah it is not a bad car at all, would not shell out 25k for a good second hand one though.

In isolation there was nothing wrong with the 348, a massive improvement over the 308/328 of course... but then hugely overshadowed by the F355 which was a quantum leap forwards with that perfect styling and the only 5-valve engine Ferrari ever made before they came up with their variable valve timing.

The 355 is considered a classic, the 348 isn't - I wonder of it ever will be? However, that's a late model and rare GTS with targa panel. It's uncomplicated mechanically and a lovely shade of Chiaro Blu (I'd say). That would be a corking car for that price. The 328 isn't that good a car, it just looks good right now, if that happens to the 348 I can see them going up in value...

Styling is it's problem, it's 80s but the type of 80s that isn't quites trendy yet. Esprits and 911 Turbos of the era look great, but that design did not age well. Proportions are lovely but the details are not there sadly :(

It would be interesting to see if those stupid side slats and the rear lights could be replaced by 355 items. If so, it would tidy up the styling a treat. It wouldn't go as well as a 355 but would do Ok.
