Hoping it will all blow over in a week anyway, and fuel supplies will be back to normal. Unfortunately, it's French strikers we are talking about, and they still know how to do it properly!

It was good to see everyone at the pre Le Mans meet last night . And nice of Mav to bring his one eyed drum kit for Matt to play with

Matt's technique - Slap the newly painted wing 3 times. Look Mav straight in the eye and tell him the bulb is fecked. Ed China must be carpping himself with the competition!

Who has room for my gerrymandering cans in their car?
My boot is full with the roof and Dem's toothbrush

I hope to see does blow over. Plan B would be to bring the oil burner as that got me there and most of the way back on 1 tank. But it would make my trip across the piranese the following week a bit dull.

8x 20l - I'm covered.

According to official government figures it will do 36.7 on the combined cycle. So all good in my fantasy world. At a gentle 70mph last night I achieved 2/3 of that.

What could possibly go wrong.

Heard from Classic Grand Touring, who have just come back from a week in France and the situation has been largely exaggerated by the media - quelle suprise! In the last week they only spotted one fuel station that was closed and the rest were largely unaffected.

Depends on the area - North West and South East are worst affected. Social Media has been full of 'real' reports, not from potentially sensationalist journalists... The fuel depot near Annecy was cleared of protestors today, with bulldozers used to shift the barricades, so hopefully the situation around Lyon will improve. Most of the problem has been caused by people panic buying, as you might expect, so emptying the petrol stations more rapidly than usual. Susie's mate in Dijon is livid about being rationed to 30 litres at a time at the local stations, but the expensive stuff on the Autoroute services is apparently still ok.

Just gonna fill up in Dover and drive on down. Get to Bernay with Half a tank and then see how we go from there.
