Paul, I agree to a certain extent. I am about to sell my 98 Jaguar XJR and it has 165K on the clock, but the car is immaculate. Believe me I would love to get £20K for it, but realistically I will definitely not, if it had 50k on the clock I would get more than I realistically expect now.
Cheers

Yes the XJR is a wonderful car. Its all down to how are on the roads and buyers desire. My friend has a 1988 XJS bought from new Celebration model only 75 made and its worth about 5k tops. Its a mad mad mad mad world !

Oh, OK, you don't want to buy mine then, I get what you are saying now and you are probably right. Before they decided to get cars that were really fast, they were a bit like a gents car, faster than most, but not that good. Then such as the XJR came along and all that changed.

Same here sort off, I'm scratting around and coppering up to try and get a 4200. Just checked insurance though and I can get it for around £350.00, which surprises me, pleasantly.

Must say Dem, I was never a Jag fan but the current range is retty stunning........The XJ is very much a QP type car from the reviews I've read....Handles like a small car and lots of fun...The XF is a very pretty car and that new small two seater roadster and Coupe looks stunning and will sell like hot cakes.....

You might have to start your own Jag for sale thread - unfortunately for the original poster this one adertising a 3200 seems to have been hijacked! A friend bought a 1998 XJR recently...one owner, 92k miles, original Lancasters plates, immaculate and with nice black walnut dash etc - for £600! Realises he got a bit of a steal though - what's yours worth...£2000?

I'm hoping for £3K, realistically it might be somewhere between £2K and £3K. They are quite rare at the moment and the condition of mine is pretty good, but the market dictates and you still need a buyer.
