Have used grey etch primer once in the past, and on separate occasions brush painted hammerite. No need to mask off if painted carefully.

I have always avoided paint on the vertical faces, where the wheel touches. Anyone else?

i always do mine with hammerite spray . have done it on all my cars . never comes off .
