Stopped in at St George's distillery on the way home. Mrs C sampled and approved of The Nog. I decided I needed a bottle of Smokey, then these somehow threw themselves onto my bill. A long time fan of St Peter's (more so when they were 'smaller') this is top stuff.

Later we have a thoroughly mediocre Cahors courtesy of M+S

Glad Mrs C liked the Nog after I recommended it lol
Did you do the tour? or just visit the shop?
I really need to go back, its been FAR too long.

Just dropped in to screw my credit card. TBH most of the tours of breweries and distilleries are much the same. After all, all wines are made the same. All beers and whiskeys the same. Yes there is some local colouration but most of the tours seem aimed at the very bottom of the understanding. Even Mrs C walked in and said 'why does it smell like a brewery'......

A forced overnight in Swansea has been rather nice. Morgan’s hotel in the centre surprisingly lovely and very Christmassy.

A decent room is 1/3 rd the price of a Premier Inn in London, three people and eat and drink for less than one person London …………

Currently working my way through a bottle of 10year old Tanqueray.
