They cant pour a drink though, must've poured 2 pints down the drip tray and it still looked like this so she shrugged her shoulders and handed it over :D 20231110_131759.jpg

Not right this moment (obviously) ;) but tried this last night:

Available direct from the vineyard £24.99 At least *comparable* with French product at a similar price point. Which has always been my complaint about English wines. It tastes OK but it's too damned expensive. Coming in at 12.5% abv I wonder if the 2023 vintage will be as good...

Anyway will be grabbing a couple of bottles for the festive period I feel.

South African Percheron Cinsault with dinner last night. We didn't take phones, so no photos. They do a 'wine of the moment' here, effective bin ends. Never had a bad one yet and they come in at £20. £8.25 retail so about right (ish)

Not at all bad

Stopped in at St George's distillery on the way home. Mrs C sampled and approved of The Nog. I decided I needed a bottle of Smokey, then these somehow threw themselves onto my bill. A long time fan of St Peter's (more so when they were 'smaller') this is top stuff.

Later we have a thoroughly mediocre Cahors courtesy of M+S
