Hi

I'm currently having an intermittent issue with the UP paddle shifter. Just recently its started ignoring my input and not shifting up. Down paddle has no issues at all and also manual stick changers with no issues. It appears to be some problem with the UP paddle only. When it doesn't respond I use the stick and it changes up straight away. Any ideas? I'm thinking it could be a problem with the paddle electrics, maybe worn or something? Currently happening around 40% of the time.

FYI its a 2009 4.7 S with the ZF box

Cheers

Probably the microswitch or connection. I imagine you could test it is operating with a meter, but will mean the wheel coming off. That would be my starting point Although there may be a scantool that can read the input. I might have a switch set somewhere from when I bought gt paddles to replace the qp ones.

Thanks for your reply. I'll give it a go this weekend! Is taking the steering wheel off easy enough? Will the airbag removal cause any issues when reconnecting?
If you do have a switch set knocking about that would be fantastic!

A quick check would be to use the paddle when turned off and listen for a click similar to the down shift paddle.
