You get to the petrol station and find the button to open the filler cap does not spring back and so it keeps trying to open, so you open the boot and the boot button does the same.

So I ripped it out and both buttons are very tight fit and refuse to spring back, they haven't been for 13 years, but decided to do so today

I remove the buttons and ground the outside edges of each button with Dremell. I think the casing and buttons are made of different plastics! Regards Mark

If you drive quick enough it closes! as you slow down it acts as an air brake !!!!!!!!! A bit of penetrating oil fixed mine
