Back in August last year I purchased Mav's wheel spacers that he had fitted to his 4200, never got around to fitting them, so today as mine is in pieces I thought I would check that they were going to fit. Good job I did, so when the spacer is on the hub, the flange is all the way into the spacer, but the flat face of the spacer is still about 3mm away from the face of the hub. My first thought was to get them machined to fit, but doing this would remove all of the flange on the spacer, so rendering them useless. I don't know what age Mav's car was, but I have checked on eurospares and there are different part nos for hubs on earlier and later cars (mine is a 2004 facelift) I have measured the depth of the flange on the hub and it is 17mm, so I am assuming that the depth of flange on earlier cars is smaller? The only possible way I can see of making them work would be to fit some spacers between the hub and spacer to pack them out, but don't really know if this is acceptable. Thoughts appreciated.
