Wheel Centre Caps. Handy to know.

I didn't realise the trident was removable. That will make painting them back to the original colour easier.

How did you strip them? Just sand paper?

I had my wheel guy who powder coated my rims shiny black do the caps at the same time.... not sure of his process....but 4 years later look as good as new!

Wheel place I used to powder coat the wheels couldn't do the caps as they are plastic so couldn't be baked. I used fine Emery cloth.

Sorry it was for you. I just bought Abarth centre caps to place custom yellow trident stickers on them due to the flat surface! No idea the tridents could be removed which would solve the raised surface issue! Hmm ive a set of QP caps I shall test on.

Twist in the tale! I just had a look at an old set of QP S caps and there’s no ability to remove the trident BUT you can overlay a 55mm domed sticker!!

Very carefully and slowly prise them out . They are recessed and held with a sticky pad.

No, the tridents are chromed, almost like tiny C pillar badges.

Most unusual! Either the part number was revised or the GT/GC caps are different from QP

They are not domed, recessed with a corresponding moulding on the trident. They look expensive to make compares to newer models. They are from my Assetto Corsa.

Centre caps done. Tried a brush on , but wasn't happy with the results, so eventually tracked down a supplier who could give me the colour in a spray can. I'm pleased with the match, and another wee job ticked off the list.
