My car is back from being aligned and it already feels considerably better. it plants itself much better under acceleration, especially when cornering and gives a much more positive and confident feeling back through the steering wheel. I guess it's no surprise as it was a long way out.
HR Owen kindly gave me the correct settings specific to the AC which are as follows:
Front:
Toe in 1.5 / 0.5 mm Camber -30' / +10' Incidence 4 deg 30' / 15'
Rear:
Toe in 4.0 / 0.5 mm Camber -1 deg 30' / 10'

Stuart, they set mine up a little different to yours, with more negative camber on both ends and more castor angle ( Incidence) on the front

Maybe thats because the AC has stiffer springs rates than the normal 3200GT

Need to get mine done as noticed significant wear on the inner edge. Will use the ones here and get them done on a hunter machine.

For those in the N Wales area - Lobitos will do a laser 4 wheel track based on OEM data - for £25 all inc. Their equipment is brand new and their technicians have been doing specialist vehicles for years.

It really did make a big difference on mine which wasn't actually that far out, but it made the car much more confident in the corners.
I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results

Yep checked tyres and they are pretty much shot on the fronts, inner edge.... I assume you didn't use these settings but the ones for the AC which are different....

These are the AC settings Phil, sorry for any confusion earlier in the thread. See post # 1 for standard 3200 settings, post # 18 for the AC settings

Cheers Stuart. I wonder if the settings change with my AC ARB fitted or if the difference is down to the stiffer AC springs?

Fitted the stiffer AC ARB at the weekend and am going to get the alignment done once new Pirelli's have been fitted all around.

I'm having new boots fitted at the weekend and depending on how it feels am likely to take it for a full alignment afterwards...

Just got my car back on the road and knowing that the whole suspension has been off and rebuilt I decided to take it to Kwikfit. My daughter had a good experience there and they gave a 4-wheel read out even though she had only the two wheels done. For £130 (free initial check and the package includes seven return visits over a period of two years) they have all of the 3200GT (others too presumably) details on their Global system. It shows caster, camber and toe - and how accurate each is compared with the correct specs. The young fellow (his first Maserati experience) set it up very accurately, and while they can't adjust caster and camber, as the toe-in was adjusted for each wheel it pulled the caster and camber into spec, either by coincidence, or it naturally does that as it is more accurately set up. So starting with a couple of green indicators and ten red, by the time he had finished (about 60 minutes) i had only two red and ten green. Completely different car to drive - bliss!! Who thought i would ever recommend Kwikfit!!!
