Have to agree that I still get the same feeling today after two years than I did the first time I drove the car, today was great, sunny country roads with the sport button on, lots of red line gear changes, heaven.......

Sadly the nice private plate is not mine and won't be staying.

I love the cream dash but it doesn't half reflect in the windscreen.

and the one who is most impressed with "her new car"..........

I can certainly relate. Got my first Maserati a month before you. I sold a lovely 911 Carrera 4 because I just fell in love with the looks, the exclusivity, the luxury and most of all, the sound of a QP Sport GT.
My wife and daughter didn't know what I'd bought until they drove me to pick it up. The looks on their faces were priceless!
I find it difficult to imagine replacing it at some point in the future. There's nothing else I want more....

It is indeed. I had it carefully checked out and it appears to be totally sound. In which case, hopefully I've got a bargain! I'll need a service before the end of the year, but Quickars had some engine work done just before it went out of (extended) warranty by HR Owen. The only potential risk may be a clutch replacement, but there's no sign of any problems at the moment.
I was a little wary of the Duo Select and its reputation for being clunky around town, but you soon get the hang of driving it smoothly, and it's a blast in sport/manual mode. It also copes a lot better with the speed bump curse that afflicts my part of London than the Porsche used to.

Love the picture of your daughter by the way. My kids are loving the new car too. But the dog's not getting a go.

Congratulations. That's the first one I went to see and drove. It felt right and the dealer seemed on the level. He kept telling me it was the cheapest in the country for its age and he was right so you probably did bag a bargain. It wasn't the colour combo for me.

Well, bargain in the relative sense :)

The day I drove it there was ice on the ground - which shows you how long he had it. I had just flown in from the Alps where my FWD Citroën was romping about in the snow with winter tyres so I was very nervous driving a powerful RWD car, on summer tyres, on compacted ice but I was stunned at how much traction there was. The memory of that drive was part of the reason that I went for the Duo Select over the ZF Auto despite many telling me the Auto is better.

Thanks for your comments :)

Great photos TT, even shared them with friends to show how 'child friendly' the cars can be
