What have you done to your Maserati today?

I believe...but could be wrong...that it evolved from the "Sport GT" (DuoSelect) to "GTS" (ZF). And was also unsure how I was gonna feel about the blacked-out rims...but in person it works really, really well.

And congratulations to my brother from another mother on his acquisition!

But yours is a 4.2 ZF GT. So perhaps it's the same as mine, but with lowered suspension, no Skyhook and Bilstein fixed rate dampers instead?

Wonder what the differences are between a US 4.2 ZF Sport GT and a normal 4.2 ZF then?

Pulled from Wiki

The Quattroporte Sport GT variant offered several performance upgrades: a re-configured transmission providing faster gearshifts and a firmer Skyhook suspension system; courtesy of new software calibrations, seven-spoke 20 inch wheels with low-profile tyres, cross-drilled brake rotors, and braided brake lines. Model-specific exterior trim included dark mesh front and side grilles and red accents to the Trident badges, as on vintage racing Maserati models. Inside, there were aluminium pedals, a sport steering wheel and carbon fibre in place of the standard wood inserts.

All true on mine except for the exterior trim bits. My exterior is all typical chrome trim with a "SportGT" small badge on the B pillar.
Day one, and I've started a deficiency log to burn down. Navy brain can't stop with the hit lists.
Yes, it's definitely slower than a DuoSelect, but .... the wife will be driving this one mostly, so I purchased the ZF deliberately. Now I've had a GT, CambioCorsa, and now a ZF!

Drove the QPV all over the Seattle area today for repair estimates. Going to the paintless dent remover for work on Friday, removing all the door dings. Also visited the wheel restoration specialist who declared one of the front wheels a total loss due to being out of round and cracked. (No, I wasn’t driving on it, had brought the worst wheel with me to get their estimate)
Sigh…. Why do people run super low profile tires in a city renowned for rain and potholes?
And visited the local paint supply store, who mixed me up a pint of touch up paint and some clear coat to use after the dent fixers get done with the door dings.
Lovely drive! Put about 80 miles on her today, and tried out Sport mode to weave through freeway traffic.

So far, only used Sport mode. Was planning on driving Coupe today, but it's Seattle outside so driving the QP...

I suppose when you say “it’s Seattle out today” that you mean you’ve grown Olympic Mountains and the sea in your backyard?

Or is it just rainy?

Was out for a spin, cheered me up no end!

Still having problems with drivers seat not working.

I am having to face a choice of either leaving the seat as is, non working.

which is fine for driving. or replacing a seat that works.

I have bought a second-hand seat so will have a good look to see if there is any way to get the seat in the car out,(cant get to rear bolts) without going medieval on it.

But in the end cutting up the seat may be the only way, something I am reluctant to do.

The last workshop that I worked in as good as that was Maserati in Auckland New Zealand which was also above the showrooms and we had rooftop parking.
Loved my time there.

I left there in 2018 lived in Point Chevalier when in Auckland also in Wanganui too.
Saw the whole of NZ twice doing the Goodbye Pork Pie run in a Classic Mini Cooper.
I'm a British chap and have permanent residence for NZ but now living in France.

Think 2018 was about the last time i was there. I left 06 from Dunedin, English wife wanted to come back to the UK.
Goodbye Pork Pie was brilliant.....only way to do is in a Classic Mini.
Obviously you loved it to do it twice
