I managed to get a bit of a clean done. Also had the tint guy out and he put 35% all the way round for me. It makes the car looks a million dollars.

Finally managed to get out for a blast in some decent weather. Feels like it’s been raining non stop since I got hold of it!

Pulled the supermarket plastic bag brake covers off, and threw on the wheels..! ( the discs are much better this year. Seems to have done the trick…)
Changed the carbon canister Replaced the track rod & drop links in the NSF arch, added 3 clicks of rebound on all corners, wound up my fancy rear ARB a notch & fired it up. Barely audible variators after months stood up….:D
Jumped on the internet and paid the gangsterment their road tax fee.
Sunshine this am. :as009:

I agree with Phil, it’s an arty shot. Would’ve been better without the white car in view. But I like the perspective and the ray of light bursting across the bonnet.

'Fraid not folks - need to get the Zep's tool and some trouser suspenders. (Stop sniggering at the back Smithers!)

It's due in for a big service next week so debating whether to turn up admitting defeat, or have go and risk not being able to drive it.....

You can do it just don't remove the protective terminal caps until you're ready to connect.

It's disconnecting the incumbent one that's giving me the issues. Not straightforward given it's location!

Spyder hibernating this week as it’s been a relentless cycle of rain, wet snow, and hail.
But idle hands and all, wife and I found this beauty, and if she can have three rescue dogs, then certainly I can have two rescue Maseratis!

Picking it up today. Anticipating a long list of minor bits to work through, plus a visit to the body shop for some bothersome door dings, but for the price I paid, happy!

More to follow once it’s in hand and I’ve actually done all my due diligence like an adult. You know, after it’s purchased and home.

Booked it in to have a front-camera fitted. I have a spare infotainment control unit (yours, sir, for only £6k plus the dreaded VAT) which is a bit flakey in the satnav department and prone to getting lost, It is, therefore, mostly worthless, but some kindly gentlemen have agreed to take it in return for supplying and fitting a front camera which can look downwards, forwards and wide-angle. Clears some space on my desk and reduces the risk of scraping that lovely Astron carbon front splitter, like I did last summer in France.

Not to be outdone by Dennis, picked my my QPV project car today as well! Mechanically sound (it’s a Sport GT ZF Auto), but a very long list of little things to keep me busy. Including getting rid of the ridiculously low profile tires.

Here in the U.K. the Sport GT was only available in duo-select as far as I recall, as it was discontinued when the auto gearbox came out in 2008.

Wonder what the differences are between a US 4.2 ZF Sport GT and a normal 4.2 ZF then?
