Washed her yesterday and then took her on an hour and a half jaunt to Mottisfont house to spend the day with my partner.

Kept the roof up on our last day of funroof up.jpg

and with 'the hills alive with the sound of Roary' went close to the Sound of Music Vonn Trapp Museum in Salzburg and passed the Manro Classic Auto and Musik Museum (closed till tomorrow morning, but looks interesting) on the 158 in Koppl.

Attended MITCar in Burghley House.

But I have a question - what is the group noun for Maseratis? A Magnificence of Maseratis? A Growling of Maseratis? A Bankruptcy Making of Maseratis?!?!?
Nice to meet you today. Great venue and some lovely cars there. Not impressed with the gravel / dust road after the entrance, but still enjoyed it.

Removed the plastic headlamps surrounds from the Biturbo and cleaned the lamp units, they've probably never been cleaned since it had a partial respray many years ago. Tempted to respray the surrounds from white to metallic silver grey or black.

Lots -1. drive nice roads 2. 109k mile birthday pressie - 95 E5 petrol from Czeck Rep at around £1.50/l......... 3. Got him a bit dirty as it rained. 4. Smack the naughty near side front sidelight that doesn't work (a suggestion from Matt as sometimes they work loose)

Today I finally got round to replacing the knackered trident badge on the boot lid with a shiny new one, bit of a faf due to the limited access from behind but I managed it, the new one is a slightly different shape and a smidgeon taller but it looks much better...

Next jobs, depending on whether it sells or not is to fit the Nardi steering wheel I've had stashed away and four new tyres - the thing is I've never been keen on the BBS style alloys it came with so would need to bite the bullet and find something else like the Shamal style wheels sold by Eurospares, which are not cheap, especially on top of the new tyres. I also like the 'Mille Miglia' wheels fitted to Ghiblis of the period but I'm not sure if they're actually the correct PCD etc, I found this photo ages ago of a set on a 430 but it's possible the hubs may have been changed on this one...

Two good options there. I’ve always loved the Mille Miglia ones and had them on my early LHD Ghibli II. But I’m also very keen on the Shamal wheels on my biturbo Spyder. Either will look fab.
Lovely new (old style) badge also.

He came home with 109900 miles on the clock (which read 100,000 a year ago) so I gave him a lengthy warm radox bath to clear away all the grime gathered in his 4000 mile European epic adventure. Dried him down nicely and put him to sleep in his stable - he'd had his champagne earlier.

Good effort indeed in which many would say is an old car now.
Just proves look after them Well and Use them is the way to go.

Cushions in cars are a slippery slope. Next it’s a box of Kleenex and then it’s not much of a stretch to hats on the back shelf, driving everywhere at 40mph and having days out at Waitrose.
You left out red trousers ;)
