Valve seats and leadless

Hi, this one I have to share - ok I don't know where it will lead but...

I'm having the V6 heads in the shop, and I actually have blown valve. So, we discuss with the shop.
They investigate, and say that the valve seats are super clean and nice. Don't replace.
OTOH, the cast numbers in the heads say they are from before leadless fuel!

So, have a discuss. The old guys say, that they actually have never seen a valve issue because of the seats if they are steel. They have seen issues - some old MB heads for example had cast-iron valve seats. They did not work with leadless!

In the end I'm going to trust the old guys, and not do any extensive work on the heads. If it works, it works, yes?

But they also say that the exhaust valves are coated, and regrinding is not recommended. So I'm buying some parts afterall.

Cheers,
//HS

PS: the valve oil seals are same as 7mm BMW. That saves a bundle.

The heads came back from the specialist, looks very nice!
I had to buy new exhaust valves from Italy though, 59€/ea...
