Hi guys I just went to get into my 3200, key in the ignition and the dash lights up and...nothing! She died completely. I'm guessing the immobilizer has kicked in?

I use a 3rd party (silca) key which has worked no problem..opened it to check the battery and there isn't one! Just the transponder. Next I checked the two wires in the footwell and they both look secure?

I can't get into the boot and the electrics are completely shut down..trying a bit of wd40.

Any ideas on what the problem is or what to try next??

Thanks in advance

How old is the car battery? Check all connections and earths first........then work back

I would have thought the ad would turn over; I had an issue with one of my keys that had unassigned itself - the car wouldn't start but turned over.

You can access the boot via the key - inset and turn.

Do you have another key? The red master should start it without an issue.

The manual does state how to disable the immobiliser - do you have it?

I'm away from home and don't have the manual. Still at the side of the road with minimal tools. I don't think I have the red key?

Trying to get into the boot and check the battery, I use her everyday and there were no signs of the battery dying?

Still here guys, managed to get hold of some wd40 but the lock just won't turn. Think I'm going to have to call the RAC and get her recovered

Is there not a manual pull cord under the back seat squabs as per other models?

If not the pull cord, do a search on here for getting into the trunk.
I'm pretty sure you can unscrew the light bar and gain access somehow, but not sure!
Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

I realise I am too late to help out here, but is it an auto or a manual? If its an auto try starting in neutral, the contact switch on the gearbox gets worn and prevents you from starting. The original Maserati radio link does not require batteries its only the central locking that needs a battery I think (someone will no doubt correct me now!). And a battery re-set can some time be useful, even if you have no tools there is a big rotary switch up behind the battery. Let us know how you get on.
